                BOARD MEETING MINUTES

                        APRIL 15, 2015

The meeting was called to order at 7:03 pm followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Board Members Present: Supervisor Krchmar, Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann.

Guests: Carolyn Pruden, Linn Purden, David Gruber, Dale Majewski and Sargent Miller.

Guest Speakers:

Dale Majewski- Clare County Commissioner.

Karen Willing District Court Magistrate received a raise. Tom Krchmar appeared at the commissioner’s meeting voicing his concerns over the tax bills being ready in a timely manner. Sheriff’s Department is receiving body cameras for the police officers from contracted townships in Clare County. The cost is around $575.00 each. 

 Sargent Miller-Clare County Sheriff.

Sargent Miller read an incident report.

Clerk Borgula reported she had to report an off road vehicle that was speeding down her street. Supervisor Krchmar said someone tore up the road by Clearance road they were doing donuts.

 

Correspondence:

Clare County Sheriff’s report had 28 incidents.

 

Approval of Meeting Minutes:

03-18-2015 Meeting Minutes.

A motion to accept was made by Treasurer Gruber and Supported by Trustee McGlashen.  

Board Members in Favor -Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. – Motion Carried.

 

Treasurer’s Report:

 Treasurer Gruber said she is waiting on the delinquent check from the Clare County Treasurer.

 

Clerk’s Report:

Clerk Borgula gave an update on May 5, 2015 Election– the Preliminary test was on April 14, 2015 the Public Accuracy  will be on April 21, 2015 at 10:30 am.

Activities:

Sandy Mann reported 50 people were at the Easter Breakfast. Lake George Boosters Club donated $100.00. The next Pot luck will be May 16, 2015 at 4:30pm. The road side cleanup will be May 23rd. Weather permitting.

Transfer Station Roll Offs:

A motion was made by Clerk Borgula and Supported by Trustee Mann to bring in Roll offs starting

May 3rd.  Board Members in Favor -Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann.- Motion Carried.

 

 

Transfer Station Parking Lot Grading:

A Motion was made by Clerk Borgula and Suported by Trustee Mcglashen. To allow Buster Vasher up to $400.00 to grade the Transfer station parking lot. Board Members in Favor – Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. – Motion Carried.

 

Tire Grant Recycling Volunteers:

Linn Pruden, Brian Kinch, Melvin Randell and Ed Uber and as an alternate.To volunteer at $10.00 an hour  at the Middle Branch Township Hall on June 18, 2015 from 8:00 am -12:00 pm and July 23, 2015 from 8:00 am -12:00 pm.

 

A Motion was made by Treasurer Gruber and Supported by Clerk Borgula. Board Members in Favor- Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. Motion Carried.

Internet Service:

Clerk Borgula is working on it she can’t get in touch with Winterfield Township’s ISP provider.

 

 Cemetery Flags:

A Motion was made by Trustee Mann and Supported by Trustee McGlashen. To approve Clerk Borgula up to $100.00 for Cemetery flags.Board members in Favor- Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. – Motion Carried.

Public Comment:

Linn Pruden Summer hours will start on May 3rd. at the Transfer Station.

Thursday 1:00 pm – 7: 00 pm Sunday from

9:00am -2:00 pm.

The Board thanked Linn and Carolyn Pruden for Adopting A Highway on M-61 in Redding Township.

 

Approval of Bills:

A Motion was made by Trustee Mann and Supported by Treasurer Gruber to approve

Check # 2597 – 2613 and payroll withholding equaling $4992.91.Board members in Favor- Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. – Motion Carried.

 Adjournment:

A motion was made by Clerk Borgula and supported by Trustee McGlashen to adjourn at 8:04 pm. Board members in Favor- Clerk Borgula, Treasurer Gruber, Trustee McGlashen and Trustee Mann. – Motion Carried.
